Nordbex1, Nybro
Nordbex 1 is our flagship project, developed in Nybro to strengthen local energy supply.
The plant is designed to deliver dispatchable heat and electricity from sustainable forestry residues, while capturing biogenic CO2 at the source. Captured CO2 can be prepared for climate focused use or permanent storage, enabling measurable carbon removal over time.
With a clear timeline and local value creation, Nybro is the starting point for a scalable project pipeline.
Landmark
Landmark is the proven CCUS foundation behind Nordbex, built on real delivery experience.
Nordbex was founded as a spin-off from a UK-based developer of carbon capture power infrastructure, bringing first-hand insight into how CCUS projects are engineered, built, and operated.
Its also our first project in operation, delivering 10 MW of baseload electricity while capturing around 30,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
That experience supports our focus on repeatable, bankable plants and strengthens execution across development, integration, and delivery. It is a key part of the platform Nordbex is building in the Nordics.
